Ranzy Green – Obituary

Ranzy Green, 85 of Union Grove, died Saturday September 30, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Green was born October 25, 1931 in Marshall County to Hugh Green and Mandy Evans Green. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked in construction for Ashburn Gray as a brick layer. He and the former Nellie B. Oden were married for 61 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife: Nellie B. Oden Green; his sons and daughters-in-law: Ranzy Darren Green and Merry, Leslie Dallas Green and Amy; his daughters and sons-in law: Carolyn Ann Vaughn and Conrad, Donna Jo Ruge and Herb, Linda Sue Roberts, Sandra Faye Rasch, Sherrie Denise Wertz and Jimmy and Angela Darlene Hall and Robert; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Mandy Green and his brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Gary McRae, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Zach Green, Dakota Wertz, Heath Oden, Chris Oden, Ranzy Noble and Rodney Green.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Cecil Wilson, Bob Reed, Donald Oden and Ronald Oden.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday October 2, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
