James Myers Fortenberry, 85 of Prospect, Tennessee died on Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, January 23, 1932 in Prentiss, Mississippi he was the son of the late Joseph Henry Fortenberry and Ruby Lee Myers Fortneberry. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and five sisters.He moved here from Indiana and lived in this area for fifty years. He was a member of Elkton Baptist Church and loved attending church.
Surviving are wife of sixty-five years, Mary Fortenberry of Propect, TN; son, Larry Fortenberry of Pulaski, TN, daughter, Linda (David) Turner of Prospect, TN, brother, Ike Fortenberry of Louisiana, sisters; Helen Bullard and Jerri Love of Louisiana, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Chris Bolt officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, TN.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
