MCFARLAND PARK – Saturday’s edition of the Shoals Dragon Boat Festival had McFarland Park filled up to the brim with teams dressed in fancy costumes who were heading out onto Lake Pickwick to paddle some funny-looking boats. The winners of the races, which went on well into the afternoon, won bragging rights, good until this time next year, and more importantly, helped raised a lot of money for Kilby Laboratory School at UNA.
