Funeral service for Marvin Hoyt Hale, 93, will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Somerville Road Church of Christ with Bro. Gary Patton and Bro. Tim Sutton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Church.

Mr. Hale died on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Parkway Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1923, in Cullman County to Clifford Hale and Julie Crider Hale. Mr. Hale worked for the Decatur Daily for 36 years. He was a member of Somerville Road Church of Christ since 1953. As a veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Appalachian. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one Great Granddaughter: Lyla Long.

Family would like to say a Thank You to Decatur Morgan Hospital -Parkway and to Decatur USA Health and Rehab for the care that was given to their loved one.

Laney and Jack Long

Pallbearers will be Jason Hale, Kevin Long, Christopher Long, Jeremy Long, Farris Satterfield, and James Satterfield.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Satterfield and Marshall Hallman.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.
