Funeral for William Wayne Hollimon, 85, of Decatur will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. Burial will be in in Hickory Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Mr. Hollimon, who died Monday, September 25, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born March 28, 1932, to Eugene Hollimon and Merle Bynum Hollimon. He was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of Westmeade Baptist Church and a former choir director at Trinity Baptist Church. To know him was to love him. He enjoyed all sports including golf and four-wheel riding. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Hollimon;son, Tim (Lenora) Hollimon; daughter, Laurie Smith; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be family. Honorary pallbearers will be four-wheeling buddies.
