L. Earl Carroll, Jr., 64, of Lawrenceburg, TN died due to complications of cancer September 21, 2017 surrounded by family.
Earl was born in Lawrenceburg, TN on September 5, 1953, He graduated from Lawrence County High School and was an alumni of Middle Tennessee State University. He was a successful small business owner and entrepreneur. In his spare time, he enjoyed generously doting on his nieces and nephews, participating in lively debates, and competing in poker games.
Survivors include his parents Lloyd Carroll and Jacqueline Hood Carroll of Lawrenceburg, TN, his brothers Chris Carroll, Dan Carroll (Vicki), and his sisters Jane Gay Carvell (Kent), Sharon Remke (Tom), and Anne Carroll all of Lawrenceburg, TN. Additional survivors include two nephews Alex Carvell and Austin Remke, and five nieces Rachel Carvell, Paige Carroll, Carroll Marie Blackwood (Orry), Amanda Remke, and Leeanna Carroll.
A celebration of his life will be held in the coming weeks. Donations may be made in his honor to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, Nashville, TN or any foundation supporting cancer research.
