Harold D. Radford – Obituary

Harold D. Radford went to his heavenly home early Monday morning, September 18, 2017. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton with the service immediately following. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The service will be officiated by his nephews, Judge Brent Craig and Judge Mark Craig, and Brother Dallas Culver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; his parents, Paul and Ima Mae Radford; his brother, Glenn Radford and sister, Opal Tolbert.

He is survived by two daughters, Lila Ackley and Ginger Couch (Jim); grandsons, Ben, Sam, and Max Ackley, and Davis Couch; and granddaughter, Maecy Couch.

Harold graduated from Auburn University in 1950 with an Agricultural Science degree. He went on to work for Federal Landbank, IMC and served two terms as Tax Assessor in Lawrence County before he retired. He prided himself on being a Democrat, an Auburn fan, and a Methodist.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ben, Sam, and Max Ackley and Davis Couch, and nephews, Mark and Brent Craig.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Springs and NHC Rehab, and his Austinville United Methodist Church family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in his memory to Austinville United Methodist Church.
