Wanda Faye Carter Scott – Obituary

Mrs. Wanda Faye Carter Scott quietly slipped away on Sept. 11, 2017 at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She was born on Nov. 19, 1955 to Arthur and Georgia Belue Carter. Wanda was preceded in death by her father. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong member of the St. Paul M. B. Church and as a member of St. Paul, she served faithfully. Wanda was president of the senior choir, secretary of the Missionary Society, head of the food committee, and church announcer.

To cherish her memories is a devoted mother, Georgia B. Carter; a husband, Turner J. Scott; two sons, Darrell (Sharon) Carter, all of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Rico (Ashley) Scott, of Florence, Alabama; three grandchildren, Dominique Borstler, MaLyric, and Harmony Scott; one great- granddaughter, Khaylee Londyn Borstler; two sisters, Grace (Gregory) Gunn, of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Debra Carter, of Jonesboro, Georgia; four brothers, Preston (Doris) Carter, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Albert (Johnnie Mae) Clemmons, Minister Dexter (Denise) Belue, and Robert Meredith, all of St. Louis, Missouri; one aunt, Charlotte Perrett; three sisters-in-law, Verdean Scott, Beverly Scott, and Fannie Scott; one brother-in-law, Eugene Scott, of Chicago, Illinois; special friends, Jesse Ray, Terease Freeman, Sherry Long, Jessica Byrd, and William and Lela Freeman. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who share in this loss.

Funeral service will be noon today, Sept. 18th at Mt. New Home Missioanry Baptist Church in Leighton, Alabama, with burial in St. Paul Church Cemetery in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Compassionate and proficient preparation presented by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home.
