Jane Ervin Ward, 73, retired employee of Steinmart, died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at her residence on Bell Road in Huntsville, Alabama.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Todd Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson County Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born May 11, 1944 in Marshall County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Millard Thomas Ervin and the late Mary Flosetta Ellis Ervin. On January 30, 1960, she married Jerry David Ward who preceded her in death June 16, 1999. Mrs. Ward was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her children, Carol Michelle Kunhart of Huntsville, Alabama; Thomas E. Ward of Huntsville, Alabama; Karen Ward (Chad) Towry of Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Justin Michael Ward; Zachary David Ward; Heather Kunhart Ingram; Courtney Michelle Kunhart; Paige Ward; Cody David Ward; Evan Brice Ward; great grandchildren, Dalton Bradley Ingram; Mason Brice Ingram; James Michael Ward; Hadley Jane Kunhart; brothers, Tom Ervin; Jerry Ervin; and sister, Marylee (Bill) Papanastos.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael David Ward in 2001; and brother, Jackie Ervin.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Ward, Zachary Ward, Thomas Ward, Chad Towry, Cody Ward, and Evan Ward.
