Sammie “Sam” Edward Gilbert, 71, of Hampshire, TN passed away on September 12, 2017.
Sam was born on July 12, 1946. He was a wonderful man who simply enjoyed life. He took great pleasure in his profession, driving 18 wheelers. Sam loved to be around people and especially loved to tell truck driver jokes.
Sam leaves behind his wife: Joyce Black Gilbert; Brothers: Jay (Hessie) Gilbert of Jamestown, TN and Bob Norris of Jamestown, TN; Sister: Rosie Lee Gilbert of Crossville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN, Bro. Dustin Laster is officiating.
