James “Jimmy” I. Wooden, Sr. 77, Florence, AL passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Bertha Wooden; brothers, Thomas Eugene Wooden, Sr. and Billy Ray Wooden.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Thompson Wooden; son, James Ivan Wooden, Jr.; daughters, Charlotte Furnari (Jerry), Martha Bonds (Travis), Kathy Wierema (John), Brenda Wooden-Castle (David) and Linda Zills (Michael); 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren;20 great grandchildren; 8 step- great grandchildren; 2 great-great grands.
Pallbearers will be Scott Lee, David Castle, D.J. White, Michael Wooden, Tommy Wooden, and Jerry Furnari. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hyde and Mike Zills.
