Mr. Henry Otis Jones, Sr. 63, of Joppa, died Monday September 11, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Jones was born June 22, 1954 in Madison County to Herman Isaac Jones Sr. and Mary Frances Hunt Jones. He worked in construction as a carpenter. He was married to the former Debra Kay Johnson for 30 years. He enjoyed lawn work, flea markets and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a member of Trust and Faith Ministries.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife: Debra Kay Jones; his daughter and son in law: Mary M. Jones and Jacky Mchan; his sons and daughter in law: Lonnie W. Pierce, Henry Otis Jones Jr. and Bridget; his sisters and brothers in law: Patsy A. Thompson and Paul, Tammy L. Hillis and Anthony, Sandra Harbin and Patrick; his brothers and sister in law: Ronald W. Jones and Linda and Lonnie J. Jones; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild and forty three nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Mary Jones; a sister: Frances Louise Jones; his brothers: Herman I Jones Jr., William E. Jones and James R. Jones.
Pallbearers will be Gene Roberts, John Watson, Steve Watson, Chris Williams, Tim Wright, Mark Ewell, John Guffey and Jason Thomas.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 14, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Gene Brown and Mike Price, officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery, New Market, Alabama with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
