Bessie Ann Keeton Strait Todd was born January 21, 1929 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Henry and Cora Martin Keeton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cypress Oak Grove Freewill Baptist in Iron City, Tennessee and departed this life Tuesday, September 12, 2017at Countryside Health and Rehab in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 7 Months, 22 Days.
Survivors, sons, Willie Strait, wife, Ginger and Warren Strait , daughter, Shelby Strait Butler, husband, Roy, all of Iron City, TN; daughters-in-law, Donna Strait of Iron City, TN and Lillie Strait of Collinwood, TN; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Louis Keeton of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Todd was preceded in death by husbands, Homer C. Strait, the father of her children and Archie Todd; a daughter, Emma Nola Carr; sons, Alford and Charles Delbert Strait; grandson, Greg Strait; brothers, Thomas, Loyal, J.D. and William Keeton; sisters, Annie Ruth Hollander, Ella Mae Keeton.
Services will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Cypress Oak Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee, with Bobby Glen Rich and Gene Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will begin at 6 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2017 at Cypress Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Iron City, TN.
Pallbearers will be Michael Strait, Eric Strait, Terry Strait, Stacey Strait, Glenn Butler and Wayne Butler with Tommy Pigg, Jerry Carr, Randall Strait and Gary Butler as pallbearers.
