Walter Glenn Murphy III, 53, of Florence died Monday, September 11, 2017, at Lawrence Medical Center in Moulton.
A graveside memorial service will be Friday, 09-15-2017, at 2 PM at Walston Cemetery in Oakland with Rev. Daniel Gilchrist officiating. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Glenn was a graduate of Coffee High School. He attended Muscle Shoals State Technical College and was employed with the City of Florence.
Glenn is survived by his parents, Walter, Jr. and Martha Murphy; sister, Erin Gunn (David); nephews, Drew and Carter Pullen; grandmother, Wanda Rice Murphy; aunts, Janis Lenderman, Laura Taylor (Velson) and Mary Murphy; uncle, Stephen Murphy; several cousins; his dog, “Little Bit.”
Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church Building Fund or the Florence Animal Shelter.
