Robert B. ‘Bob’ Penney, 92, of Maysville passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Mr. Penney was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Blackburn Penney; two of his sons, Mike Penney and Tommy Penney; and his beloved brother, Thomas F. Penney. Mr. Penney was a naval veteran of World War II. He worked for the Army Missile Command for 33 years. He enjoyed a long retirement and loved spending time outdoors at his home.
Survivors include his son, David Penney and wife, Deborah; daughters-in-law, Donna Penney (Mike), and Debbie Penney (Tommy); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2300 Beasley Avenue NW in Huntsville, AL. Visitation will begin at 10am and the service will be 11am with Father Joseph Lubrano officiating. Burial will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens following the service.
