The Zip City Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Chili Cookoff was a big hit. Lots of Lauderdale County showed up to enjoy the beautiful weather out by P&K Western Store. And, all kidding aside, the chili was great! Proceeds went to help the Fire Department purchase much-needed equipment and supplies.
This year, there were two winning teams, Robert Walker and Kelly Robinson were the team leaders. But the real winners were the dedicated firefighters from this part of Lauderdale County. they work very hard every day to keep their neighbors safe, and these proceeds will come in very handy indeed!
