Patricia Joan Cockrell, born October 3, 1943, passed into the loving arms of God at her home Friday, September 8, 2017. A lifelong resident of North Alabama, she was beloved by a large extended family and many dear friends.
She retired from Oak Park Middle School, and attended Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Eudy. She is survived by her husband, Jack Cockrell; her sons, Mark Goosby and Sam Cockrell; daughter-in-law, Christina Goosby; and four grandchildren, Micah, Julie, Zackery, and Patience Cockrell.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 11, 2017, at Roselawn Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
