Marie Shoemaker Hood
We tearfully say goodbye to our beloved sister who was a devout Christian and loved her Lord and Savior. She will be extremely missed, though we are joyful that she is living with Jesus now.
Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Hood and son, Shawn Michael Shoemaker. Her birth parents were Minnie Virginia Serowicz and James Nicholson. She was raised by her parents, Maude Shoemaker and Melvin Shoemaker. Her siblings are Sara Ray, Melva Jean Mohon, James Nicholson, Margaret Dunn Shindell, Viginia Gibson, Catherine Serowicz Fuessle and Dominic Serowicz.
She was a loving and kind soul who always offered everything she had to all who needed her.
