W.L. Grisham – Obituary

W.L. Grisham, 84, died Sept. 7, 2017. W.L. was a 1952 graduate of Lauderdale County. Mr. Grisham served in the United States Air Force for 12 years serving in Japan as an aircraft mechanic. He also worked as a boilermaker for over 50 years. He was a member of Hurricane Presbyterian Church and had a great love for his family and life. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a very special part of his life.

Visitation will be today at Rogersville Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral following. Burial will be held at Hurricane Cemetery. Jimmy Cox will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Carlton Kelly, Josh Howard, Darrell Sulkowski, Toby Mewbourn, Tim Newton, Luke Embry with honorary Ray Goodman and Ricky Tucker.

Mr. Grisham was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ella Mae Grisham; sister, Jean Ray; brothers, Ray Gisham and Mickey Grisham; and nephew, Marty Ray. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Becky Grisham; children, Diane (Mike) Embry and Jeff White; grandchildren, Emily (Josh) Howard, Luke (Eve) Embry, and Callie White; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Anabella, Lacy, Morgan, and Addison; sister-in-law, Doris Grisham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Grisham family would like to extend a very special thanks to Kindred Hospice, Norma, Sandy, Nancy, and Teresa. Mrs. Grisham would also like to express her thanks to their wonderful daughter and granddaughter, Emily and Diane, and all their friends and neighbors for the love and care they have shown over the last four-and-a-half years during W.L.’s sickness.
