Syble Kimbrough Colburn – Obituary

Syble Kimbrough Colburn, 87, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at her home in Phil Campbell, Alabama. Born in Mount Hope, Alabama, she had lived in Franklin County most of her life and was retired from the Franklin County Board of Education as a CNP employee after 31 years of service. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation for Mrs. Colburn will be Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Randal Tice and Donald Colburn officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Russellville. Pallbearers will be Leon Pinkard, Leo Pinkard, Danny Pinkard, Tony Southern, and Darrell Colburn. Great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Survivors include children, Carol Hall and husband, Jerry, and Eileen Baggett and husband, Tim, all of Phil Campbell; sister, Fayrene Heath, of Phil Campbell; grandchildren, Jeremy Hall and wife, Latasha, and Josh Hall and wife, Ashley; and great-grandchildren, Joseph Hall, Cade Hall, Seth Hall, Cameron Hall, Ava Hall, Catherine Hall and Aiden Hall, Adrienne Leeth, Johnson Leeth, Ava Leeth, Maddie Raper, Hagen Raper, and Jackson Posey.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Milton Buzzy Colburn; parents, Clifton and Evie Little Kimbrough; and brothers, Herman and Billy Ray Kimbrough.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
