John “Scott” Grant Jr., age 57, of Trinity, Alabama, died, Tuesday September 5, 2017. The visitation will be Friday, Sept. 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Donny Young and Richie Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Central Heights Community Cemetery.
Scott was a member of the Church of Christ and also the FLW Fishing League.
He was preceded in death by his parents; John Scott Grant Sr. and Betty Lou Barnard Grant, and son, Christopher Shane Poe.
Survivors include his wife; Lisa Grant of Trinity, Alabama; son, John Paul Grant (Angela), of Newton, Texas; daughters, Tabitha Hatch (Christopher) of Richmond, Texas; Jessica Stone (Jared) of Buna, Texas, Kayla Crain (Darrell), of Florence, Alabama; brothers, Mike Grant (Claudia) of Saratoga, Texas, Richard Grant (Melissa), of Kirbyville, Texas; sisters, Melinda LaBeauf (Kenny) of Kirbyville, Texas, Rebecca Putzier (Duane) of Mitchell, South Dakota; eight grandchildren, Malasha, Landon, and Lane Poe, of Florence, Alabama, Taylre, Braison, and Hayden Crain of Florence, Alabama, Cristial, and Paul Dee Wayne Grant of Newton, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Davis, Kent Woods, Barry Maner, Kim Young, Richard Grant, Rickey Midkiff, Bill Spears, and Mike Grant.
