FLORENCE-Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteers has given the

gift shop at Kennedy-Douglass a make-over. The new gift shop will operate under the supervision of interior designer (Lambert Ezell Durham) and volunteer, Jen Kennedy and volunteer Sandy Bell. The two have taken a new approach to the gift shop that will function as a museum store. Merchandise from local artisans, art books, kids activities, art accessories, and fine art cards fill the shop. The store aims to be a top resource for those looking for that perfect art gift, piece of jewelry, or home decor.
The store’s grand opening will be at the Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts Volunteer Open House this Friday, September 8 at 11:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m. Store hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is located at 217 E. Tuscaloosa St. and is open, free of charge, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 256-760-6379 for more information.
