Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. He was born on August 19, 1944, in Decatur, Alabama where he grew up. He was raised by his mother, Bernice Teague Morrow, and step-father, Edward Morrow. A graduate from Decatur High School in 1962, he was voted class favorite, played basketball, and sang in the boy’s chorus and concert chorus. He attended Howard College, which was named Samford University the year he graduated in 1966. He received his undergraduate in religion and psychology and continued singing in the Baptist Student Union (BSU) Choir. He graduated from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1972, which is where he married Betty Davis in 1969.

Don was a father, friend to many, and never met a stranger. He was an ordained minister, high school teacher, coach, and career counselor. He transitioned to General Motors and Saturn Corporation where he left a legacy, as well. In retirement years, living in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, he devoted time to non-profits, a senior center, and continuing ministry with “Seminars for the Soul”. He will be remembered for his humor, wisdom, and giving spirit. During the span of his life and career, he was a generous giver – of books, of silver dollars, and his time and service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Edward Morrow, his grandmother, Alice Susan Bibby Teague, grandfather, Arthur Cleveland Teague, and Aunt Ruth Teague Davis Puckett.

He was preceded in death by his son: Ben Robison, daughter; Kimberly Robison O’Leary, and grandson; Andrew O’Leary.
