Visitation for Steven Wesley McKelvey was Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Lawrence Funeral Home. No funeral service was held.
Mr. McKelvey died Thursday, Sept. 6, in Athens. He was born Aug. 17, 1959, in Decatur to Edward (Zeke) McKelvey and Mary Alice Butler McKelvey. Mr. McKelvey was self-employed as a freelance mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Scott McKelvery of Florida; two sons, Steven McKelvey of Florida and Andrew McKelvey of Illinois; one daughter, Allison McKelvey Havied of Illinois; three brothers, Robert McKelvey of Huntsville, Michael McKelvey of Athens and Jeffrey McKelvey of Capshaw; one sister, Cindy Pace of Decatur; one halfbrother, Edward McKelvey of Chicago; six stepchildren; and 22 grandchildren.
