Timothy W. “Tim” Byrd, 55 of Lacey’s Spring, The Union Hill Community, died Friday September 1, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Byrd was born January 2, 1962 in Cook County, Illinois to Billy Joe Byrd and Callie Marie Perry Byrd. He previously worked for Global Manufacturing as a Production Technician. He and the former Sherry Ellen Brown were married for 34 years. He enjoyed working around the house, loved to watch Nascar and Tennessee Volunteers football.
He was of the Episcopal Faith.
Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife: Sherry Byrd; his son Michael Byrd; his parents: Callie and Milton Hornbuckle; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Angie Byrd, George Byrd, Johnny and Michelle Byrd, and Shawn and Angie Brown; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Anita and Jeff Campbell and Sandra and J.A. Sasser; mother-in-law: Iris Brown; brother in Christ: Jimmy Dukeminner and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: Billy Joe Byrd and his brother: Jeff Byrd.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 6, 2017 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City with brothers: Jeff Campbell and Larry Narrell, officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and Brindlee Mountain Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Campbell, Johnny Byrd, Tommy Cobb, Shawn Brown, Corey Brown and Tom Hoot. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Dukeminner, Gage Campbell and Logan Byrd.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday September 2, 2017 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel to assist with the funeral expenses.
