Cigger Lee Jones Duckett – Obituary

Cigger Lee Jones Duckett was born the third child of John Minor and Mae Fannie Shaw Jones in Lawrence County, Alabama, on January 27, 1931. She departed this life on August 29, 2017 at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka, MS. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Albert H. Duckett. To this union, two daughters were born. She was a faithful member of Jones Chapel CME Church where her and her husband enjoyed the works they were involved in. She sang in the choir, directed plays, designed costumes, and lent a hand wherever it was needed for the work of the Lord. Visitation is scheduled from Noon until 1 P.M., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Jones Chapel CME Church in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 2, at Jones Chapel CME Church, officiated by Rev. Isaac Patterson. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great grandsons, and her nephews. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Duckett of Madison, AL; her sister, Climmie “Peaches” Love (Richard) of Huntsville, AL; her brother, Robert Jones of Battle Creek, MI; her grandchildren, Albert J. Duckett and Walter J. Williams; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert H. Duckett; her daughter, Sharon A.
