Steven Carter Atkinson 56, of Falkville passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Atkinson was preceded in death by his father Jack Clay Atkinson. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his mother and step-father Mary Anne and Eldred Sims, sisters, Carol Key (Richard), Tracy Edgar (Tim); step-mother, Judy Atkinson; step-brother, Don Sims; step-sisters, Angelia Sims and Jill Gonzalez. Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Friday at 1:00pm at Valhalla Cemetery in Bessemer. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
