Debra Kay “Debbie” Moody – Obituary

Debra Kay “Debbie” Moody, 62 of Arab, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday August 26, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Moody was born September 22, 1954 in Jefferson County to K.L. Clay and Mavis Smith Clay. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Moody enjoyed taking care of her family and traveling. She and Jerry Moody were married for 40 years.
Mrs. Moody was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry L. Moody; her son Johnny Ray Moody; her grandchildren: Jacob Moody (Ansley Minor), Chloe Ray Moody and Whitt K.L. Moody; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary Clay and Carol, Reggie Clay, Keith Clay and Richann; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Whitney Moody; her parents: K.L. and Mavis Clay and a sister-in-law: Patsy Clay.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 30, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Glenn Elrod, James Earl Pate and Jimmy Aaron, officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Tim Clay, Scott Clay, Tanner Clay, Caleb Clay, Collins Miller and Tim Minor.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Pentecost and Steve Shedd.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
