Ruby Lee Hines, age 79, Russellville, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at ECM Hospital.
Ruby was a devout Christian and faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a wonderful grandmother. She was “Mama” and “Mamaw” to everyone, always being a friend to all she met. She loved working in her flowers and being outside. She was always hospitable, ready to invite you into her home to sit, have something to eat or drink, and just visit and talk. She will be missed by all who knew her and was loved by everyone.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Roger Jones. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Hines, Linda Hines Prince; grandson, Jonathan Prince; great-granddaughters, Kaleigh Henson, Caitlin Eldridgee; parents, William & Selma Walker; sister, Betty Brackin; and brother, Johnny Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 63 years, James Odie Hines; children, James Hines, Patty Jackson (husband, Sidney); Harold Hines (wife, Valerie); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Alton Manley; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Chris Patrick, Shawn Watson, Terry Green, Jerry Green, Eric Hines, and Justin Hines.
Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
