Roy Bouldin Haston – Obituary

Mr. Roy Bouldin Haston, 92, passed away early Friday morning August 25, 2017 at his home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Spencer on September 30, 1924 to Edgar L. Haston and Lola Morris Haston who preceded him in death along with his loving devoted wife, Daisy Lee Yates Haston; granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Slatton; brother, Edward Haston; sisters, Vernelle Lysmere and Betty McKnoch.

He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and the Van Buren County Rescue Squad. He was retired from Dunn Steel.

He is survived by his son, Billie Haston; daughters, Linda Slatton and Beulah (Butch) Cope, Spencer, TN; sister, Eva Davis of Texas; grandchildren, Angie McCoy, Misty and Justin Slatton and Haylon Slatton; great grandchildren, Adam and Kristen McCoy; several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the Layne Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Jim Mitchell and Leonard Yates officiating with burial to follow in the Molloy Cemetery. Visitation: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM Sunday and 9:00 AM Monday till time of service at Layne Funeral Home, Spencer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
