Jackie Ray Whited – Obituary

 Mr. Jackie Ray Whited, 69, passed away Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the Waters of Winchester nursing home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on January 18, 1948 to Rev. Howell Whited and Mildred Opal Bryant Whited who preceded him in death along with his brother, David Whited; infant daughter, April Brook Whited.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam and was of the Methodist Faith his father being a Methodist Minister but could be found sometimes at the Baptist Church. He was a Brick Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Minton Whited; daughters, Jackie Whited (Michael) Meeks, Rachel (Billy) Foshee and Anna E. Whited; sons, Richard (Crystal) Whited, Gregory (Leanne) Whited and step-son, Todd (Melissa) King; brothers, Howell (Diane) Whited Jr. and Timothy (Ann) Whited; sister, Barbara Higdon; 13 Grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers John Potts and Bobby Winton officiating with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps with burial to follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
