Tina Joy Davis Hagood – Obituary

Tina Joy Davis Hagood, of Rogersville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the age of 51, after a brave 12 year battle with cancer.

Tina was a graduate of Lauderdale County High School and Calhoun Community College. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at ECM Hospital for 25 years.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 26th, 2017 from 2 – 3 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow in the chapel with Dennis Jones officiating.
Private burial will take place in Civitan Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her mother, June Davis.

Tina is survived by her husband of 29 years, Stuart Hagood of Rogersville; her father and stepmother Jay and Jane Davis of Rogersville; her brother Terry Davis of Anderson and his 3 children; father and mother-in-law James and Avon Hagood of Rogersville; sister-in-law Nicole Hagood Darnell and husband Seth of Arab.

Tina’s kindness and compassion made her a friend to all who knew her. Patients often asked for her by name and spoke of how lucky they were to have her as their nurse.

She was an animal lover who cherished time with family and friends. Her 2 dogs, Ozzie and Sophie, were her special companions throughout her illness.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Kindred Home Health and Dr. Webb and the nurses at Hospice of the Shoals for their kindness and care. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice nurses who took such great care of Tina through this time, Tiffany Romine and Vicki Stout.
