Funeral services for Christy Renee Amis, age 43, are scheduled for 4 PM, Sunday, August 20, 2017 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Independence Cemetery. Miss Amis passed away Friday in Lexington. She was born September 20, 1973 in Jackson. She attended Westover School, graduated from Lexington High School, and was attending Easter Seal Day Center. Christy was loving and caring with a sweet spirit and very mischievous. She had a photographic memory, and if you told her your birthday, she would always remember. She will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas and Eva Mae Usery Amis. Survivors include her parents, Tommy and Rita Buck Amis; her brother, Timothy Lynn Amis; grandparents, Gahlen and Magdolena Buck; aunts, Shelia (John) Hillis and Sherry (Kelly) Sorrell; and cousin, Johnathan Sorrell. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Shady Grove Methodist Church.
