Joann Speegle Ward, 67, of Hartselle, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Visitation will be held at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home on August 19, 2017 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm and funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Private family burial will follow Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Joann loved her family and friends, she would spend most days with her mother. She loved to work in her garden. She loved taking care of people. She would do anything to make sure those she loved were happy and fed! She loved knowing that she would be going to heaven to be with the Lord and all those she loved dearly who went before her. She was very loved and will be forever missed.
Left to remember her with love is her mother Vera Nell Johnson, Her children Paula and Andrew Lecher; Colleen Ward; Jamie Garner; grandchildren Kimber and Jeremy Andrews; Mark and Cassandra Hale; Caitlin Hale, Jacob Cohen; Wendy and Alex Garner; Great grandchildren Carson, Logan, Owen and Emmaline Andrews and Marlena Hale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manna House in Huntsville, Al. or Hospice of the Valley in Decatur.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hospice of the Valley or CCI in Decatur for their support in her final days. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
