Funeral service for Lenice Margaret Chapman, age 83, of Decatur, will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, 4:00 p.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, with Priest Bude Van Dyke officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the church. Graveside service and interment will be Sunday, August 27, 2017, 1:00 p.m., at Springhill Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Chapman, who died Thursday, August 17, 2017, at USA Comfort Care, was born October 25, 1933, in Nashville, TN, to Jacob Bible and Jessie Lorena Crutchfield Bible. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, her son, Tommy J., her daughter, Mary, and her parents. Mrs. Chapman was a charter member of The Church of the Good Shepherd.
She is survived by one son, Martin Anderson Chapman (Janet) of Nashville; one daughter, Sherri Lynn McConnell (Gary); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
