Two Teens Charged In Monday Night Homicide

MADISON-The two suspects have been charged in the murder that took place on Monday night at Publix located at 12070 County Line Road.

After going through surveillance video, police determined identified the suspects as  Jakobe Carter, 18, of Phenix City, and Arron Jones, 17, of Birmingham. Their murder charges are connected to a homicide during first-degree robbery. They are also charged with second-degree burglary. Bonds have not been set at this.

Investigators have traced the runaways from the Three Springs juvenile center.  Authorities from Three Springs have declined comment at this time.

When the body was originally discovered at 11:30 PM on Monday night it was thought to have been an industrial accident.  It was later determined to be a homicide by  the police investigators

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
