Ben B. Peete Jr., 79, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham. Ben was born April 14, 1938, in Limestone County to Ben B. Peete and Nell Newby Peete.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Betty Witt Peete of Birmingham; daughter, Carrie George (Ian); son, Brandon Peete (Hillary); daughter, Amy Thompson (Jeff); daughter, Andrea Perry (Christian); brother, Joe Peete (Gail) and 10 grandchildren.
Ben had degrees from The University of North Alabama and the University of Alabama. He worked many years for CSC, Xerox and GE in support of NASA, and later was Director of Faulkner University in Birmingham.
Ben was a longtime faithful, devoted member of Homewood Church of Christ. Services for Ben will be at Homewood Church of Christ in Birmingham on August 13th at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the funeral. Burial will take place at the National Military Cemetery in Montevallo on August 14th.
