Marvlee Ruehling – Obituary

Mr. Marvlee Ruehling, 91, passed away Saturday August 12, 2017 at his home.  He was born on Jan 5, 1926 to John H. and Allie Blaylock Ruehling who preceded him in death along with his wife, Dorothy Ward Ruehling; son, Kelly Arnold Ruehling; grandson, Matthew Ruehling; sister, Mildred Lois Turner; brothers, Eathel, Hurl, Johnnie, Ugene and J.P. Ruehling.

Marvlee was a US Navy veteran of WWII, a coalminer, nurseryman and Retired from TVA.

He is survived by his sons, Ronnie (Clarissa) Ruehling, Buford, GA, Jeff (Kelly) Ruehling, Gruetli-Laager and Kevin  (Cheryl) Ruehling, Gruetli-Laager; daughter, Regina Ruehling, Gruetli-Laager; sister, Emma Beatty, Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Trinity (Derrick) Boston and Josh Ruehling; great grandchildren, Zade and Ian Boston; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Danny Ruehling officiating with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
