Funeral Service for Mrs. Velma Wright, age 93, of Flintville, will be conducted Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro Eddie Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery beside her husband, Selma Cecil Wright. Mrs Wright passed away August 10, 2017 at her residence.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Phillip) Marty of Flintville, TN; sisters, Louise (Ewell) Barnes and Gertrude Ogle both of Dayton, TN; brothers, Joseph and R.A. (Mildred) Sharp both of Chattanooga, TN; numerous beloved nieces and nephews; and enjoyed special summers with Rod, Gary, Deb, Leon, and Suzy. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Wilfred Sharp, Carl Sharp, Marion Sharp, Lloyd Sharp, Lois Ogle, Hazel Edwards, Wilma Williams, Mary Frances Sharp, and Irene Simmons.
Visitation with the family will be held Sunday at 11 AM until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home.
