Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation To Host Program “The Tuscumbia, Courtland & Decatur Railway”August 20

TUSCUMBIA-The Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation, Inc., will hold its quarterly membership meeting on Sunday, August 20th, at 2:00 pm, at the * Roundhouse of the Tuscumbia Railway Depot on West 5th St, in Tuscumbia.
Program speaker is Robert Presley Rebman, of Decatur, AL and a native of Courtland, AL.
His program topic is “The Tuscumbia, Courtland & Decatur Railway”.
Mr. Rebman is the former president of the Courtland Historical Association, and serves as the Board Chair and Acquisitions Chair of the Courtland Heritage Museum.
He is a graduate of Deshler High School, and received his B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University.
Following the program, Walter Smallwood will give a tour of the Tuscumbia Depot Museum. Members and visitors can then caravan to Courtland for a tour of the Courtland Museum at the downtown square,  led by Mr. Rebman.
Following the tour, all are invited to the historic McMahon Home, built in 1828, at 833 Hamilton St., owned by Greg & Lisa Pace, for a “ice cream social”.
