William G. “Bill” Young – Obituary

William G. “Bill” Young of Pulaski passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski. He was born in Valley Head, Alabama, on March 3rd, 1920 and was 97 years old.
Mr. Young was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a resident at Ivy Crest Assisted Living for seven years, enjoyed gardening, woodworking and fishing.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 13th from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home.
The Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Stevenson officiating.
The burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorial donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church, 200 West Jefferson Street, Pulaski, Tennessee 38478
He was preceded in death by his wife Louise Humble Young. His parents William Blevin and Una Margaret Gardner Young along with a brother, Lester Denny Young and sister Sarah Adelaide Daniel.
He is survived by his,
Daughter, Joyce (Edwin) Moore of Pulaski, TN.
Daughter, Patricia McKinlay of Chicago, IL.
Grandchildren, Linda (Mike) Lambert, Karen (David) Murray and Eric (Kari) Moore.
Seven great-grandchildren
Half- brother, Donald (Mary) Young of Harrison, TN.
Half- sister, Judy Heidinger of Kingston, TN.
Niece, Vicki (Larry) Cooper of Carrollton, TX.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for William G. “Bill” Young.
