Funeral service for Nellie Fay Dooley Pearson, age 83, of Decatur, will be Sunday, August 13, 2017, 3:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Hill officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Entombment will be in Burningtree Mausoleum.
Mrs. Pearson, who died Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born December 19, 1933, in Cullman, to Willie Jackson Dooley and Mandy Ella Parker Dooley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill J. Pearson, her parents, and one brother, Billy Dwain Dooley.
She is survived by one son, Billy Mylow “Mike” Pearson (Sherry) of Athens; two daughters, Sheila Pearson Sears (James) of Birmingham, and Karen Pearson Sivley (John) of Athens; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
