Alvie L. McBride, 82 years of age, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at his home. Alvie was born July 13, 1935. Visitation with family and friends will be today from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be in Morning Star Cemetery, Tuscumbia. He was a member of Isbell Chapel Baptist Church, Tuscumbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and William McBride, and his sons, Roger Dale McBride, Alvie Wayne McBride, and Alan Wade McBride.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Mae McBride, and daughters, Sue Wallace (Barry) and Judy Bewley (Tom). He leaves behind nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Terry McBride, Cody Wallace, Brannon Willbanks, Chris Knight, Chris Johnson, and Clay Henley.
Honorary pallbearers include Dillen Johnson and Titus Knight.
He is deeply loved and is dearly missed.
