Truckin’ Good Times
ATHENS-Athens has a couple of fun events scheduled for Friday, August 11. Come to Athens on Friday for Fun after five and Food from the truck.
Truckin’ Good TimesThe City of Athens Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host “Truckin’ Good Times” which is a showcase of food trucks selling a variety of flavorful treats of appetizers, main dishes, side dishes and desserts for everyone to enjoy.

WHERE: The City of Athens Sportsplex
TIME: 5:00pm – 10:00pm.
This will be a family fun event! Come out and enjoy an evening of good food, good music, and good times!!
Picnic tables will be provided for your dining pleasure. Lawn chairs are welcomed!!

Fridays After Five with Hot Dogs and Cool Cats at High Cotton Arts
The monthly Fridays After Five is the same night from 5-8 p.m. in Downtown Athens.
This is hosted by Athens Main Street to encourage shoppers and diners to enjoy later merchant hours.
Merchants and Athens Main Street will have specials, music, etc.
Athens Arts League is hosting a pet friendly activity called Hot Dogs and Cool Cats at High Cotton Arts at 103 West Washington St. as part of the event. Wild Parsley will perform, and the Arts League will provide free hot dogs, lemonade and pet treats while supplies last. The Doggie Fashion Show will start at 6:30 p.m., and the grand prize winner will receive a watercolor portrait of his or her dog by Sonya Gordon Fine Art. You can also meet with studio artists and book pet portraits for Christmas.
