Funeral for Flora Rooks, 89, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, will be Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, 11 a.m. at Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be at Cheatum Cemetery. Visitation will Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral Home.
Mrs. Rooks, who died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 in Michigan, was born Sept. 20, 1927 in Moulton to Azo Nelson and Delia Harden Nelson.
She was a member of Eastern Star and retired from Shakespear Company. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ray Rooks, and her son, Bobby Wayne Rooks.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth Rooks and wife, Gina and Roger Dale Rooks; one sister, Minnie Woodall; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
