Nel Loveless, age 87, passed away Aug. 2, 2017. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, 5434 Old Birmingham Highway, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Nel was retired from BellSouth in Birmingham. She enjoyed living in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa before retiring in Florence. She loved Alabama football, traveling, and decorating her home. She was devoted to her pets, Su Ling and Daphne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mary Loveless; brother, Richard Clyde Loveless; niece, Mary Elaine Austin; beloved nephew, William Douglas Austin; and special friend, Dot Moore.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Loveless Austin; nieces, Vickie Austin Green and Rebecca Watts; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Adam Austin, Austin Green, Nick Watts, Tom Green, and Benjamin Murphy.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Memories Unit of the Florence Nursing and Rehab Center.
