Steven Wayne Hart passed away July 27, 2017. He was born December 28, 1950 in Sikeston, Missouri of the late Jack and Normalene Hart. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 where he served four years including two tours overseas aboard the USS Enterprise CVN65. It was during this time that he met Joy, his wife of 43 years. They traveled for a few years where he worked as a welder until he became employed with Diamond Shamrock/Oxy in 1975. In 1982 Steve and his family transferred to Muscle Shoals, AL where he became an active member of the community, coaching the men’s Oxy softball team, girls softball, T-ball, Pee Wee football and he even tried his hand at soccer even though he didn’t know anything about the sport. He was always willing to help whenever he could, whether it was selling Girl Scout cookies or teaching Haz-mat classes to the local fire departments.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joy; his daughter Andrea Jones (Brian) and their son Brian “Austin”; his son Matthew and his children Wesley Wayne and Carlee Jade. He is also survived by his brothers Gary in Delaware and Brian in Missouri.
