Audrey Evelyn Clemmons – Obituary

Audrey Evelyn Clemmons, 93, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.  She was retired from K-Mart and was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all.  She was an Avon lady, a lunchroom worker, and a knitting mill worker.  She worked hard at anything to provide for her family.  She was a talented seamstress, crocheting and knitting beautiful afghans, dish cloths and much more for her family and friends.

Mrs Cemmons was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Clemmons, daughter, Jeanette Clemmons, Parents: John and Georgia Stewart, brothers: Duncan and Johnny Stewart, infant brother: Doctor Stewart, and sister: Velma “Babe” McMurtrey.

Survivors include: Son: Kim Clemmons(Melanie) – Peppertown
Daughters:  Elnora Pettus(Tommy) – Greenhill
Phyllis Smith(Derance) – Greenhill
Susan Waller(Steve) – Macon, GA
Grandsons:  Tommy Dale Pettus Jr. and John Allen Clemmons
Granddaughters:  Stephanie Pettus Thomas, Stacie Pettus Strait, Kristy Smith                           Thompson, Emily Clemmons Green, Brooke Fowler White,
Amy Waller Fuqua & Tricia Waller Edwards
Great-Grandsons:  Dustin Strait, Luke Pettus, Cody Pettus, Avery Green & Aaden

Great Granddaughters:  Tiffany Hale Weaver, Bailee Strait, Audrey Green, Tylyn
Thompson, Alli White, Mary White & Erica Edwards

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 3, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Greenhill Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with David Sain & Brian Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shiloh Church of Christ cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Robbie Trousdale, Don Strait, Jeremiah Green, Brian Smith, Michael Coker & Glen Lee Butler.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Derance Smith, Tommy Pettus, Sr., Tommy Pettus, Jr., Pete Thompson, Henry Allen, John Clemmons, B.J. Thomas, Dustin Strait & Bobby Smith.

The family would like to say a special thanks to:  the home health providers, caregivers, Country Cottage staff, Hillside Hospital ER staff, and the numerous care teams at Vanderbilt Hospital, the Lifespring staff in Pulaski, TN, and Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski, TN.
