Tom served as fire chief of Sheffield for many years, was owner of A-1 Auto Supply and has served on the Board of TVA Credit Union. He was a faithful member of York Terrace Church, serving on the Teller Committee. He was always smiling and loved making us laugh. He had so much love for his wife Virginia. He loved his grandchildren more than life itself. He was an avid gardener and loved to share his produce with friends and family. He was huge fan of Alabama football.

He is survived by his wife Virginia, daughter Tommie Evans, daughter Cindy Billings and husband Barry, son Todd Isbell and wife Miranda and five grandchildren Caleb and Katy Billings, Saul Evans, Mattie Leah Smith and husband Brandon, and Emma Isbell.
He is survived by his brother Doug Isbell and sisters Donnie Byrd, Tina Tverberg, and Mary Jane Lackey.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Nurses and LPN’s at Keller Hospital in PCU and on the 4th floor.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Ridgeway, Dr. McAnally, and Dr. Chaney for the special care they took with dad. Also thank you for the excellent care from Keller Hospice.
