Joyce Baird, 71 of Huntsville, formerly the Shady Grove Community, died Monday July 31, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.
Ms. Baird was born April 19, 1946 in Blount County to Homer Baird and Lillian Juanita Guger Baird. She worked for Bell South/AT&T as an operator until her retirement. She enjoyed reading and traveling and loved her cat Trixie.
She was of the Baptist Faith.
Ms. Baird is survived by her nieces and nephews: Tammy Campbell, Kelly Edmondson and Michael Baird and a host of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Homer and Lillian Juanita Baird and a brother: Clarence Baird.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Randy Blakely, officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2017 prior to the service.
